| Chicken A’La King | ||||||
| 2 | chicken breasts, diced | |||||
| 1 | onion, diced | |||||
| 2 | stalks of celery, diced | |||||
| 1 | tsp chopped garlic | |||||
| 1 | pkg frozen peas | |||||
| 1/2 | red pepper, diced | |||||
| 1/4 | cup flour | |||||
| 1 | cup chicken stock | |||||
| 1/2 | cup milk or cream | |||||
| 2 | TB oil | |||||
| In a large frypan, saute onion, celery, red pepper, and garlic. | ||||||
| Add flour and cook for one or two minutes. Add chicken stock | ||||||
| and stir until smooth. Add milk or cream. Add in the chicken and the | ||||||
| peas, cook until warmed through. You may have to add more stock | ||||||
| or cream depending on the consistency of the sauce. | ||||||
| Serve over biscuits or rice or potatoes. | ||||||
